Obamacare is Now the Law of the Land.

Whether or not you approve or like it or not, Obamacare (The Affordable Care Act) is now the law of the land.  It is clear from the media attention paid to the political strife surrounding the rollout of this healthcare legislation, that many Americans are split about the benefits of this program.

And like other major social programs that have been introduced over the past 60 years, it takes years for the Executive Branch of the Federal Government to generate the regulations that effectively and fully implement any piece of legislation.

Unfortunately, when the law in question is particularly complex and contentious, it also takes a fair amount of time for the average American to understand the law and all of its components, requirements and informational resources.

To that end, we have provided a two-sided guide Healthcare Quick Reference Guide which provides you with critical information on Medicare on one side, while doing the same thing for Obamacare on the other.

Medicare Info:  The guide provides information about enrollment period, premiums and deductibles for Medicare.  It also provides you with phone numbers of key offices, websites for further information and research you can follow up on to more fully understand Medicare and making decisions on your own.

Obamacare:  For the Affordable Care Act, the guide provides information for individuals and families on purchasing health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace.  It provides information on Federal Poverty Guidelines, Obamacare 2014 Annual Premium and Subsidies as well as some general guidelines for small businesses.  There are also phone numbers and websites that will help you in your search.

Like all such information, it may be quickly out-of-date as the implementation of the law and the healthcare exchanges evolve.  We found that this guide provides an excellent starting point for our clients who need to sort through their choices on these important government programs.
