Tim Hunter brings a diverse collection of skills from a 35+ year career in radio and almost two decades of marketing and agency experience. He has worked with local, regional, and national brands, enjoying the strategic challenge of helping companies connect with their core consumers. Over the years, Tim has been a contributing writer to Jay Leno’s monologues on “The Tonight Show,” a newspaper columnist for the Northshore Citizen, a screenwriter, and a serial blogger.
Creative Endeavors
Tim keeps his funny bone in shape by writing for ventriloquist Mark Merchant, political cartoonists Steve Kelley and Frank Shiers, and as a daily contributor to Radio Online’s Daily Show Prep. He maintains his Wacky Week comedy website and enjoys being an emcee and auctioneer for various civic and charity events. Each year, Tim celebrates April Fool’s Day with a National Gullible Day broadcast and has emceed over a dozen Lutefisk eating contests, though he prefers to keep that between you and me.
Personal and Civic Background
Tim and his wife Victoria have been married for almost 17 years, merging their families, each bringing a boy and a girl to the party. These are now full-fledged adults with their own families, as Tim and Victoria approach their eventual retirement years. Through his wife, Tim became involved with the local Norwegian community, joining the Norwegian Commercial Club and the Leif Erikson Lodge. Until recently, he was actively involved with the Bothell Kenmore Chamber of Commerce.
